Cost and Release Date
The cost of the Sonicam is $3,000 as a Kickstarter exclusive and estimated retail of $4,000 MSRP. The release date is estimated Oct 2017 for the Kickstarter cameras.
First of all, I do enjoy the fact that they are focusing on 3D spacial audio so much. Most content creators you talk to say that sounds is a very important role in directing the user to the correct scene of the story. Obviously in 360 degrees it is hard to keep the attention of the user viewing the immersive content. From what I can remember the highest count of microphones on any other 360 camera was maybe 6 or 8.
