Real Time Stitching and 4k Live Streaming

Whereas most VR cameras require you to do the image stitching yourself, Hubblo does all the hard work in camera, saving hours of tedious post-processing. It gathers data from all six cameras simultaneously; correcting and stitching images in real-time to create a stunning 360° spherical, 3D-immersive video stream. The video can be broadcasted or stored in 4K 30fps quality, and viewed with any cellphone VR headset using the Hubblo iOS and Android apps.

Overview

The Hubblo is a decent small lightweight camera that has all the average expected features for a 3D 360 camera. First, it focuses purely on 3D content over the typical 2D 360 content as you can see from the specs the video output for 3D is 4k but the 2D is only 2k resolution. It also does live streaming at a reasonable resolution as well for 3D 360 live stream 3840 x 2160 (16:9). As of right now, the indiegogo campaign has been cancelled for unknown reasons, but when it was live the price point was around $1,000, which is very reasonable for a 3D 4k camera that also does live streaming.

The only downsides are that the prototype video examples on YouTube are not that impressive, but reasonable for the $800 – 1200 price range. But remember that YouTube does compress all videos so you do not actually see the full resolution of the video file, they do offer sample video downloads on the Indiegogo website and so you can view the footage in Kolor Viewer or any other desktop VR Viewer so you can see the full quality of the video.
